Theology Diagnostic Quiz

I couldn’t resist taking the Theological Worldview Quiz, even though the questions are rather poorly worded. The biggest problem was that so many questions are actually two questions in one. Avoid that if you’re designing a diagnostic test. For example:

“Jesus was an excellent moral teacher who’s example we should do our best to follow.”

He could be an excellent moral teacher, but not a good example for us. And his value as moral teacher could be trivial in comparison with his value as Redeemer.

“Liberalism was a disaster for theology because it leads to atheism.”

Liberalism was a disaster, but more because it led to confusion and heresy than because it led to atheism.

At any rate, here is my diagnosis:

You scored as Reformed Evangelical. You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God’s Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

I took the quiz too (you can see my results here). Since Lutheran is not a category, I ended up as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. Have you seen the “What Theologian Are You?” quiz?

    It’s here.

I took “What theologian are you?” quiz. The result is:

    You Scored as Martin Luther
The daddy of the Reformation. You are opposed to any Catholic ideas of works-salvation and see the scriptures as being primarily authoritative.

Now, not quite sure if Luther is “the daddy” of the Reformation; there’s a goose before the swan.
