Canes

There should be Swiss army knife canes. A cane should have a picker-upper, and a place to put a flask, a knife, pepper spray, a derringer, or a flashlight. The tip needs to be rubber.

Walking Stick/Machete

Has anyone heard of a combined walking stick (with a point at the end for support on dirt slopes) and machete (for cutting weeds and small branches)?

The greenhouse would be deficient in the other and bigger warming effect: prevention of convection. In a regular greenhouse, air is trapped in the greenhouse and when it is warmed, it doesn't escape and get replaced by cold air from outside. Thus, when the sun warms the air, the warmth stays inside instead of just mixing with the entire atmosphere. In the convecting greenhouse, air can drift through the holes, even though the infrared rays have to travel in straight lines and are struck inside.

Thus, the convecting greenhouse wouldn't work very well. It's use is for better understanding global warming. The Earth is like the convecting greenhouse. Infrared rays going back into space at night hit carbon dioxide and water molecules and are kept on earth. But air molecules warmed by the rays drift into space via convection.

  • The MTP-6 tactical pen, with flashlight, pen, bottle opener, sort of wrench and screwdriver. COuld add a scissors.

QR COdes

Improve on them for business cards. Maybe just a frame. Maybe spirals. Patent the software. THere is opensource Python QR code code available in the Pyzbar library. Talk with cellphone companies.

Neckties

  • Different sizes
  • Way to put markers on them for easein tying.

Electronics

Car Radios

  • Improve the speed of digital controls by not downloading anything but the address number (103.7) and the sound, so it can get to be as fast as analog.
  • Add rough surfaces to all car control knobs, so you can tell if you've got the right one by touch. I hope this is done for aircraft controls already.

Earbuds and Hearing Aids

  • A watch battery with a transmitter, for hearing aids and earbuds—easy things to lose. A bug, in fact, that can be turned on remotely maybe.

Microphone Speakers

Currently I think there exist portable speakers that can hooked up to microphones by wire or wirelessly. These should be made so they can be carried on one's body, in a backpack or a breastpack under clothes, or in a jacket (perhaps with holes for the sound to come through).

  • Another way to do it is to broadcast a Bluetooth or other signal that can be received by a phone. Then each person in the audience with a phone can bring it out.
  • Still another way to do it would be to have a bluetooth signal going to portable speakers carried by friends of the speaker who sit in various location amidst the other members of the audience.

Mouses

  • Elastic inside and on the side and on top for putting a mouse in.
  • Similar Stylus elastics.

Safes

Safes and fireproof boxes ought to have a radio signal emitter inside that is triggered by the heat of a fire. Perhaps one heated by motion would also be good, that can be turned off after you have finished moving the safe to where you want it, using a simple code.
